Zalman’s original logo has been in use since the company’s founding and remained largely unchanged for more than two decades. The design is straightforward: a bold wordmark in a strong, geometric typeface similar to Aeonis Pro Extended Heavy. A defining trait of the logo is the stylized letter “A,” which appears without traditional crossbars, giving the wordmark a clean, modern edge.

While simple, the logo was created with meaning. In Korean, “zalman” can be interpreted as “sufficient and satisfactory,” reflecting the company’s desire to produce reliable and effective products. Another interpretation breaks the name into “zal” (meaning “good” in Korean) and the English word “man,” suggesting the idea of a “good person”—a symbolic commitment to serving customers responsibly and positively.

The bright azure blue tone used in the wordmark conveys a sense of clarity, freshness, and technological progress. 2023 – Today

In 2023, Zalman introduced a refreshed visual identity while preserving the recognizable blue color. The updated logo uses all lowercase letters for a more modern, approachable look. It features a bold sans-serif typeface with straight, clean lines. One subtle but distinctive detail is the lowercase “l,” which includes a diagonal cut at the top, adding a unique accent to an otherwise minimalistic design.

To the left of the wordmark, the company uses a stylized capital “Z” as an emblem. This symbol incorporates a diagonal stroke and two horizontal bars at the top instead of one, giving it a dynamic and eye-catching shape. The combination of the wordmark and emblem creates a balanced and easily identifiable logo that represents Zalman’s contemporary design direction.
